Program Overview

The Radiologic Technologist is a vital part of the Radiology Department and the health care team. Responsibilities include patient care, operating radiographic equipment, performing radiologic procedures, and assissting the radiologist. Examinations conducted may include x-ray imaging, computer tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and mammography. Conforming to the regulations in the use of radiation to protect themselves, their patient, and coworkers is vital.

The Associate of Applied Science in Allied Health - Radiography Option program is accreditied by the Joint Review Committee for Education in Radiologic Technology.

Degree Requirements

-This two-year program is offered in partnership with CHI St. Vincent’s Infirmary.

-A total of 79 credit hours are required, broken down into 19 general education credit hours and 60 RADG credit hours.

-A drug screen and background check will be required of all students selected.

-This program of study requires summer courses and special program fees beyond current tuition and college fees.

-Satisfaction of all financial obligations due to the college is required for graduation.

-Please note: additional courses may be required if minimum placement test requirements are not met.
