BIOL 11353 - Structure & Function of Human Body Credit Hours: 3
This course is a one-semester survey of the structure and function of the twelve organ systems of the human body and how they work together to maintain homeostasis. Prior knowledge of general cellular biology is expected. This course is designed for Allied Health and non-majors and may not be used as credit for, or taken after completion of BIOL 24003 /BIOL 24001 or BIOL 24103 /BIOL 24101 . This course may not be used to fulfill prerequisites requirements for any BIOL course except for BIOL 24001 /BIOL 24003 .

Prerequisite(s): (must meet all of the following requirements)
- A score of 19 or above on the English section of the ACT, or a score of 83 or above on the Accuplacer Sentence Skills test, or a score of 80 or above on the COMPASS Writing Placement test, or completion of ENGL 01171 (Composition Review) with a grade of “C” or better.
- A score of 19 or above on the Reading section of the ACT, or a score of 78 or above on the Accuplacer Reading Comprehension test, or a score of 83 or above on the COMPASS Reading Placement test, or completion of READ 03003 (Foundations of Literacy) with a grade of “C” or better.
