The Medical Office Technology program is designed to give students the technological and medical knowledge and skills needed by secretaries and administrative assistants in today’s medical offices.

Program Learning Outcomes - In addition to achieving the institutional learning outcomes, medical office technology program graduates will be able to:
- Act ethically in the healthcare environment
- Establish patient relations
- Utilize a medical office filing system
- To operate electronic computing and patient scheduling systems in an outpatient facility
- Operate billing and coding systems in an outpatient facility
- Utilize diagnosis and CPT coding manuals
- Transcribe patient medical records
- Understand medical terminology, human anatomy, and disease processes
