DENT 17002 - Preventive Dentistry

Credit Hours: 2

This course prepares students to provide oral health instruction and basic nutritional counseling to dental patients. In addition, instruction is given and competence is gained in coronal polishing, sealant placement, and fluoride application. Etiology, prevention and control of dental caries and periodontal disease is emphasized.
