DENT 11003 - Dental Science Credit Hours: 3
This course includes a unit on dental anatomy, which is the study of the development of the head and neck, face, and oral cavity, along with the form and function of the structures of the oral cavity, including innervation, circulation, and mastication. It also includes disease transmission/infection control, a unit that prepares students with the knowledge and skills to prevent disease transmission through infection control procedures. The Bloodborne Pathogen Standard, hazardous communication, and OSHA compliance are areas of concentration in this unit
