PLG 1013 - Introduction to Law Credit Hours: 3
This course provides a general overview of the legal system and important areas of the law, such as contracts, criminal law, torts, and real estate. Students become familiar with the structure and functions of the court systems, the steps in legal proceedings, law books and the law library, and the American system of law.
Prerequisite(s): A score of 19 or above on the English section of the ACT, or a score of 83 or above on the Accuplacer Sentence Skills Placement test, or a score of 80 or above on the COMPASS Writing Skills placement test, or completion of ENGL 0111 (Composition Review) with a grade of “C” or higher.
